Investing In Education: A Top Priority

The Legislature and Governor want to build on this investment by increasing school funding again by nearly 3 percent for the 2014-2015 school year - an anticipated increase of almost $100 on average for every student in Michigan. Along with this increase in per-student funding, schools can also qualify for additional funding by meeting several "best practice" measures, such as student achievement, financial accountability, and working to consolidate and share services with neighboring districts. Our children deserve the best possible education, so we have to make sure our schools have the resources to meet this goal!
